Hello Si-yun,
I'm glad you wrote, question though? Where's the answer to the homework question I gave you?
Here are some corrections:
i am reading the book'harry potter' in english.
> Start every sentence with a capital/big letter. Capitalize proper nouns.
> I am reading the book "Harry Potter" in English.
but i can't understand this sentence. > But I can't understand this sentence,
-he was a big, beefy man with hardly any neck, although he did have a very large mustache.- he did have a-is this part correct? > yes, that part is correct, the article "a" , "an" and "the" are adjectives they are used to pint something out and add description.
Here they used "a" to point out that Hagrid had some sort of mustache.
> It means he was huge, he looked like a muscled giant with no visible neck and he has a mustache.
if this part is correct, what does this sentence(he did have) mean ? > If this part is correctm what does this sentence mean?
>> He did have a >>> used as emphasis, despite having no neck he had a mustache:)
good night~!!
> Good night!
See you later.
