It is because that my brother-in-law is going to go to Italy for his new job.

Moreover, my mother-in-law was scheduled for getting a surgery unexpectedly. OR

For one reason or another, we gathered and had lunch together.

The surgery which she will get is to prevent stroke. OR

She had the CT scan at a hospital and it showed a dangerous abnormal hypertrophy on her brain blood vessel.
So, if it will be left untreated, it would rupture someday; it will be a brain stroke.
The surgery will remove the hypertrophy.
